Noxubee VINELink and SAVIN Coverage
Mississippi calls its program the Office of Mississippi SAVIN, or Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification. It uses VINE and VINELink. The official service tracks people reported by participating county jails and MDOC. "Participating" is a necessary limit. The presence of a statewide system does not establish that every Noxubee County custody event appears without delay.
VINELink has two functions. It provides a current person search based on agency-fed data, and it lets a registrant ask for notice when selected custody events are reported. It is not a permanent certified release archive. A sheriff release log, MDOC discharge certificate, or court order remains the better record for the exact date, reason, authority, and destination.

Open the Mississippi VINELink person search and focus on one named person. Exact spelling and identifying information matter. A common name can produce more than one record, and the reporting agency may hold the key to the right match.
Read the selected agency before interpreting status. A release from the Noxubee County Adult Detention Center may mean community release, but it can also precede transfer to MDOC, another county, ICE, or another authority. An MDOC event describes the state system, not the original local booking.

Noxubee VINELink Release Record Fields
Exact fields vary by the agency that sends the record. VINELink may present identity details, an agency or facility, a custody status, an event, and notification choices. The result must be read as that reporting agency's status statement. It should not be expanded into facts the screen does not show.

A release alert can establish when the system reported a change. It may omit the bond order, sentence basis, receiving agency, or precise local release reason. Preserve the message and then request the underlying record if those facts matter.
For a county event, ask the sheriff for the booking number, actual release time, release type, authorizing record, and destination. For an MDOC event, ask for the discharge certificate and location history. The court docket can then explain bond, dismissal, judgment, probation, or revocation. These records turn a short status label into a verified custody timeline.
Register for Noxubee Release Alerts
Registration starts from the matching custody record, not from a general county list. Mississippi says registration is confidential and available to anyone. The live screen may offer telephone, email, text, in-app, or TTY methods depending on the record and current service design.
Choose every useful event and channel the screen offers. Release, transfer, temporary movement, escape, abscond supervision, and return to custody after absconding are distinct notices. More than one alert can arrive as agency files change.
- Open the confirmed person's record and choose "Get Notified" or the current registration control.
- Select an offered phone, email, text, in-app, or TTY channel.
- Enter the destination carefully and complete the on-screen confirmation.
- For a voice alert, create the requested four-digit PIN when the live system prompts for it.
- Enter the PIN during an automated call to acknowledge the notice and stop repeat calls.
- Keep the alert, note its reporting agency, and verify the custody event with that agency.

Noxubee Transfer Alerts Follow MDOC
Mississippi's Registration Link is the distinctive safeguard for Noxubee County. It can carry a county registration into MDOC after a felony transfer and can notify that the person moved to MDOC or "other custody." That handoff helps prevent a jail departure from being mistaken for community release.
Suppose the Noxubee jail reports a custody change. The person's name disappears from local view, but the linked notification says MDOC or other custody. The correct conclusion is transfer, not discharge. Search the receiving system and request the local destination or receiving-agency field.
The Registration Link does not replace the sheriff's event record. It is a bridge between participating data feeds. The source record is still needed to show the time, legal authority, transfer destination, and whether the county entry used a broad release code.
No Noxubee VINELink Match
No result does not mean released. The name may be spelled differently, the facility may not participate, a feed may lag, the record may be restricted, or a transfer may have happened before systems linked. The record can also sit beyond the service's practical history.
Try the search again with a known ID and alternate spelling. Compare the reporting agency carefully if several matches appear. If the person was committed to state custody, search MDOC by ID or name and read Location, Unit, and Location Change Date. A community-supervision location can reflect ERS or another continuing MDOC status rather than full discharge.
Call the releasing or holding agency and ask whether the person is still in its custody, released to the community, or transferred. For an older event, use the sheriff's written release record, the MDOC public-record route, and the court docket. Noxubee Circuit Court orders can establish bond, dismissal, judgment, sentence, probation, or revocation, while the jail or corrections record establishes the physical custody event.
Noxubee VINELink Limits and Confirmation
VINELink does not cover federal BOP prisoners. Search the BOP Inmate Locator for a federal sentenced prisoner. ICE has a separate locator, and a USMS pretrial prisoner may be held in a local contract facility without appearing as a BOP inmate. One search cannot cover all four systems.
A BOP result with a past release date or "Not in BOP Custody" means the person left BOP custody. It does not rule out supervision or custody under another agency. ICE searches use either an A-number plus country of birth or exact biographical details. The ICE locator does not display every person and keeps many released records only for a limited period. A USMS case may require the federal docket and the actual holding facility because no public former-prisoner locator exists for that system.
VINELink also is not a certified historical archive. It can provide fast notice but may lack the release reason, court authority, destination, or a permanent record of the event. For a county release, request the booking sheet, custody history, release log, release authority, and receiving agency. For MDOC, request the discharge certificate and status history.

The written record process complements a fast alert when the final date, reason, or state status must be established. The Noxubee County released-inmate search supplies the sheriff, court, MDOC, and federal fallback paths needed to confirm the final event.
MDOC requires public-record requests in writing and does not accept them by telephone. Include the full name, MDOC number, birth date, county or cause number, and a narrow date range. Ask for existing records, such as the actual release or discharge date, event type, discharge certificate, and releasable location history.
The Mississippi Sex Offender Registry is another separate system. It applies only to people with qualifying registration duties and may show identity, photograph, residence, conviction, and offense information. It is not a general Noxubee County release list, and it does not prove the release date. The registry itself warns that data can change and that identity may require fingerprint comparison.
For an older Noxubee County event, start with the court file and written agency records. The circuit docket can retain the bond order, final judgment, sentence, probation order, revocation, or dismissal after a current-status service no longer helps. Note: Read every alert as a report from one custodian, then verify whether custody ended or moved to another agency.
